Winter by Zara 12/13 collection

A new Zara collection 12/13 uses a wide range of actual texture: leather and its imitation, knitted fabrics and lace, fur and feathers, denim, jacquard fabric with sequins.

Origins and history

The founder of Zara, Amancio Ortegaopened the first Zara store in 1975 in a central street in downtown A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. It's first store featured low-priced lookalike products of popular, higher-end clothing fashions. The store proved to be a success, and Ortega began opening more Zara stores throughout Spain. During the 1980s, Ortega started changing the design, manufacturing, and distribution process to reduce lead times and react to new trends in a quicker way, in what he called "instant fashions". The company based its improvements in the use of information technologies and using groups of designers instead of individuals.
In 1980, the company started its international expansion through Porto Portugal. In 1989 it entered the United States and in 1990 France.
This international expansion was increased in the 1990s, with Mexico (1992), Greece (1994), Belgium and Sweden (1994), etc. until reaching its current presence in over 73 countries.
Zara stores are company-owned, except where local legislation forbids foreigner-owned businesses; In those cases, Zara franchises the stores.
After sharing a little of the history behind Zara, i am bringing you some of the fantastic Autumn & Winter range.
All the outfits and clothing that i show are out to buy in the stores now.

Girls night out Halloween

So rather than going all tacky, and in a costume you just can't wait to get out of, thinking you look extremely ridiculas i thought i'd bring to the table some evening ideas for the girls. We all know that red black and dark colours are the best for this time of year. Well i have been searching on the internet at all the top high street makes and located items of clothing for the 31st October Halloween.
Maybe some of you have parties to go to or just a night out on the town, you can never have too many bags, shoes, or dresses. We all know that Top Shop is one of my favourites so i have tried to come up with a few other ideas...like River Island.

Fashion targets breast cancer

Your breasts consist mainly of fatty tissue which contains thousands of tiny glands – or lobules, whose function is to produce milk when you have a baby. These lobules form lobes, which lead to the ducts that channel milk to the nipples - enabling you to breastfeed.

The dark surrounding area of the nipple, the areola, produces fluid that lubricates your nipple when you breastfeed. Fatty and connective tissue makes up the rest of your breasts while ligaments and large muscles provide support. Breast tissue extends to your upper chest and armpits. It’s quite normal for your breasts to differ slightly in shape and size and vary during your menstrual cycle and pregnancy. They’ll also change as you get older. Our bodies are made up of tiny cells which group together to form tissues and organs such as the brain, liver, kidneys and lungs.Cells reproduce by dividing many times in their lifetime, allowing new tissue to grow and damaged tissue to be repaired. If a cell fails to divide and repair as it should, uncontrolled growth can follow and a tumour can develop.

Doctors refer to tumours that are contained in a limited area as benign. Once treated, a benign tumour rarely causes further problems.
Genes, made up of DNA, are coded messages that carry instructions for making living organisms. In other words, our genes, which we inherit from our parents, decide how our bodies and features are structured.
Whenever a cell divides, the DNA code for each gene is copied exactly. If this process goes wrong, the gene is said to have acquired a mutation. If the mutation occurs in a critical part of the gene, it can compromise the cell’s growth, causing a tumour to develop.

Breast cancer cells can break away from the original, or primary, cancer and move around the body to form secondary breast cancer. The lymph nodes in the armpit are a common place for breast cancer to spread to. Examining the lymph nodes helps doctors predict the likelihood of breast cancer returning.

Grand Designs for me

I'm sure most of us would love to live in a great big house, with a perfect view, with loads of land.....with horses? well maybe just me then. I would love a house with a view. A house that was so large you got lost in it..!! If you can picture Highclere Castle where they filmed Downton Abbey, then that's my dream. From a very young age i have always been into interior design. I now watch Grand Designs, i love the unique style. Decorating i really enjoy, i have ben involved in decorating many houses over the years, with my creativeity and a steady hand i have had many happy faces along the way. I have hand picked mainly cottages all over the United Kingdom, there are so many outstanding homes and many amazing views to pick from. So i've located some of the finest British homes around, with the most stunning views. A house with all the difference, dream locations and dream homes.
